    Overview:

    Equimundo: Center for Masculinities and Social Justice seeks a full-time Program Associate. This position forms part of Equimundo’s Programs team. This position will be based in Washington, D.C. (with a hybrid work-from-home/office model.)

    Job Description:

    Equimundo is seeking a Program Associate to support its growing portfolio of projects, with a particular focus on Latin America. This position will provide general support to the programs, research, and advocacy actions in the region and assist with cross-cutting tasks across the global programs portfolio. The Program Associate will work closely with portfolio leads to ensure high-quality implementation, compliant financial and administrative systems, and effective collaboration across teams and partners. As this is a varied role, it requires strong organizational skills, a curious and can-do mindset, attention to detail, and a commitment to gender justice and equitable partnerships. Some international travel may be required (up to 10%).

    Key Responsibilities

    1.Latin America Program Support

    • Assist in the coordination of Latin America-based projects, including scheduling, work planning, program and resource development, and partner communication.
    • Support logistics for training sessions, partner meetings, and events in the region.
    • Support with literature reviews and identifying up-to-date knowledge of best practice and current issues in the region to inform program, research, and advocacy efforts.
    • Assist in compiling and preparing narrative and financial reports for donors and partners.
    • Provide Spanish/English translation or review support for documents and communications, as needed.

    2.Cross-Cutting Administrative and Financial Support

    • Coordinate online learning courses, enrolling participants, and monitoring progress.
    • Maintain internal project tracking tools, timelines, and files to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
    • Support financial tracking, invoice processing, and budget monitoring across the programs’ portfolio.
    • Coordinate with consultants, assist in drafting contracts, reviewing deliverables, and supporting compliance processes.
    • Help prepare materials for proposal submissions and program reporting.
    • Coordinate knowledge-sharing and file organization across the programs team.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in international development, gender studies, Latin American studies, public health, or a related field.
    • 1–3 years of relevant experience, including internships or volunteer roles in non-profits or international development.
    • Proficiency in Spanish and English required (spoken and written).
    • Strong organizational and administrative skills, with attention to detail and follow-through.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively with colleagues across time zones.
    • A passion for gender equality, social justice, and working in multicultural environments.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience coordinating projects or logistics in at least one Latin American country.
    • Knowledge of critical masculinities theory and violence prevention.
    • Familiarity with monitoring, evaluation, and learning frameworks and the capacity to conduct desk-based research.
    • Familiarity with online course platforms (LearnDash or others).
    • Familiarity with budgets, contracts, and grant management processes.
    • Demonstrated commitment to feminist, intersectional, or rights-based approaches.

    Compensation: Equimundo offers competitive and fair salary ranges in Washington, D.C., not-for-profit, and related sectors. For this position, the salary range is $60,000-$70,000, depending on years of experience and academic qualifications. The position includes fully paid health insurance, four weeks of paid leave, and retirement benefits.

    Start Date: The proposed starting date is January 2026.
