    Description

    The Manager, Growth & Partnerships plays a critical, hands-on role in advancing the mission and financial sustainability of the organization. This position is responsible for growing membership, generating non-dues revenue, and securing sponsorships for programs and events, while also ensuring the operational execution and administrative follow-through that makes those partnerships successful.

    This is a hybrid role suited for a self-directed professional who is equally comfortable building relationships and closing deals as they are managing details such as tracking sponsor deliverables, maintaining accurate CRM records, and coordinating internally to ensure commitments are fulfilled. In a small, mission-driven nonprofit environment, this role requires initiative, organization, and a strong sense of ownership.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Membership Growth & Engagement

    • Develop and execute outreach strategies to recruit new member groups and expand organizational reach.
    • Identify and target high-potential physician groups, organizations, and modes of practice aligned with the mission.
    • Maintain accurate membership records in the CRM and support reporting on growth, retention, and engagement trends.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to support onboarding and ongoing member engagement efforts.

    Non-Dues Revenue & Sponsorship Development

    • Identify, cultivate, and secure sponsorship opportunities for events, programs, and initiatives.
    • Develop tailored sponsorship packages that align partner goals with organizational priorities.
    • Manage the full sponsorship lifecycle, from prospecting and contracting through fulfillment and renewal.
    • Track sponsor deliverables to ensure all benefits are delivered accurately and on time.

    Event Sponsorships & Program Support

    • Drive sponsorship sales for conferences, meetings, and special events.
    • Prepare proposals, presentations, contracts, and follow-up materials for prospective sponsors.
    • Coordinate internally to ensure sponsor recognition, signage, communications, and benefits are executed as promised.

    Relationship Management

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare organizations, corporate partners, and community stakeholders.
    • Serve as a primary point of contact for sponsors and partners, ensuring clear communication and a positive experience.
    • Represent the organization professionally at networking events, meetings, and industry gatherings.

    Administration, Reporting & Analytics

    • Maintain organized records of business development activity, sponsorship agreements, and deliverables using CRM and shared systems.
    • Track revenue, sponsorship performance, and pipeline activity; provide regular reports and insights to leadership.
    • Support process improvement by identifying ways to streamline tracking, reporting, and partner communications.

    Qualifications

    • 3–7 years of experience in business development, sales, partnerships, or sponsorship management; healthcare, association, or nonprofit experience preferred.
    • Demonstrated ability to generate revenue through relationship-based sales and partnerships.
    • Strong organizational and administrative skills, with attention to detail and follow-through.
    • Experience using CRM systems (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar) to manage pipelines, contacts, and reporting.
    • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders.
    • Ability to work independently, prioritize competing demands, and operate effectively with minimal supervision.
    • Comfort wearing multiple hats in a small team environment and proactively identifying ways to add value.
    • Ability to represent the organization professionally and ethically.
    • Willingness to travel locally for meetings and events; occasional evening or weekend work required.

    Work Schedule & Benefits

    • Full-time position with a 3/2 hybrid remote schedule.
    • Salary range: $85,000–$90,000, depending on experience, plus a commission structure.
    • Benefits include employee-covered medical, dental, and vision coverage; 401(k) with employer match; life insurance; long-term disability; and paid vacation, sick leave, and holidays.
