    About LHI

Lifting Hands International (www.lhi.org) is a humanitarian NGO providing aid, support, and hope to displaced individuals and refugee communities around the world. Our communications team produces a wide range of visual materials—from donor-facing PDFs to social media graphics to web content—and we’re looking for a skilled, dependable graphic designer to help bring that work to life.

This is an ongoing, part-time role supporting both design production and website maintenance on our WordPress site.

    Position Overview

We’re hiring a part-time (60 hours per month) Graphic Designer to support LHI’s communications and digital presence. This role focuses primarily on graphic design for PDFs, social media, posters, and other standard design needs, with a secondary responsibility of maintaining and updating our WordPress website.

You’ll work closely with our communications team to execute designs that are clear, consistent, and aligned with our brand—while also ensuring our website stays current and functional.

    • Time Commitment: ~60 hours per month
    • Location: Remote
    • Schedule: Flexible, with necessary overlap with EST and CEST
    • Status: Contract / Part-time

    • Maintain and update LHI’s WordPress website, including:
      • Updating pages and content
      • Making basic layout or design adjustments
      • Ensuring visual consistency and responsiveness
    • Collaborate with the communications team to implement feedback and meet deadlines.
    • Ensure all designs align with LHI’s brand guidelines and accessibility best practices.
    • Support ongoing website updates/improvements.

You Might Be a Fit If You

    • Have strong graphic design fundamentals and a clean, modern design sensibility.
    • Are proficient in common design tools (Adobe CC, Figma, Canva, or similar).
    • Have working experience with WordPress (updating pages, layouts, and content).
    • Understand responsive design and how designs translate across platforms.
    • Are organized, reliable, and comfortable managing multiple small projects.
    • Can work independently while collaborating closely with a remote team.
    • Care about humanitarian work and want your design skills to support meaningful impact.

Nice to Have (But Not Required)
