    Description

    We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to lead the organization’s growth efforts across the Middle East. The ideal candidate will identify new opportunities, build strategic partnerships, and develop sustainable funding channels to support GRI’s humanitarian operations.

    Strategic Growth & Market Development

    • Develop, lead, and execute GRI’s business development strategy for the Middle East region in alignment with organizational goals.
    • Identify emerging humanitarian needs, market gaps, and funding trends to position GRI for long-term regional growth.
    • Conduct market and donor research to map opportunities in government entities, UN agencies, INGOs, foundations, and private-sector CSR programs.

    Partnerships & Donor Relations

    • Build, strengthen, and manage strategic relationships with donors, partner NGOs, Red Crescents, government agencies, and private-sector partners.
    • Lead outreach and follow-ups with institutional donors in the GCC, EU, and US-based entities operating in the Middle East.
    • Develop and negotiate MOUs, strategic partnerships, and joint initiatives with local and international organizations.
    • Represent GRI in high-level meetings, donor visits, conferences, and humanitarian forums.

    Proposal Development & Fundraising

    • Lead the development of concept notes, full proposals, and grant applications in coordination with operations, finance, and logistics teams.
    • Work closely with program teams to design impactful humanitarian and development projects (food security, shelter, health, education, livelihoods).
    • Track donor pipelines, calls for proposals, and tender opportunities, ensuring timely submissions.
    • Prepare budgets, work plans, and supporting documentation required for donor compliance.

    Internal Coordination & Organizational Support

    • Collaborate with GRI HQ and regional branches (Egypt, Gaza, Jordan, Sudan) to align project design with operational capacity.
    • Provide regular updates, reports, and forecasting to senior management on regional opportunities and partnership progress.
    • Support the monitoring and evaluation of funded projects to ensure donor satisfaction and future renewal.
    • Ensure all business development processes comply with GRI’s internal policies and donor regulations.

    Communications & Visibility

    • Work with the communications team to prepare donor-facing presentations, pitch decks, and visibility materials.
    • Strengthen GRI’s brand presence in the Middle East through targeted outreach and participation in sector events.
    • Maintain accurate records of all contacts, meetings, donor requirements, and agreements in GRI’s CRM/database.

    Level of Language Proficiency

    Applicants must be proficient in English and Arabic
