The Museum of Human Achievement (MoHA) is seeking a collaborative, detail-oriented, and mission-driven Communications Coordinator to help support MoHA’s communications efforts. This is a new part-time role that will play a vital part in strengthening our presence and supporting our programs, staff, and community.
The Communications Coordinator will collaborate with staff to deliver external communications materials, as well as contribute documentation to the media archive.
Strengthen MoHA’s community and presence through communications and documentation support.
The ideal candidate has strong writing, communication, and organization skills. Candidates should be excited to support the arts and have experience in copywriting; email and social media marketing; and file management. Prior experience in all main job duties is a plus; however, we are willing to provide training as necessary.
We are looking for a candidate in Austin who is able to commute to MoHA, with ideal start in late March.
During your first two months (aka provisional period) we expect regular, on-site hours. Ideal schedule is Tues-Thurs between 10am and 6pm, but Tues-Sat are available. Once established in the role, flexible work location and hours may be determined with your supervisor, with expected availability for on-site meetings.
Shared office space will be provided at MoHA. Having your own laptop is nice but not necessary (we have computers on-site). Some local travel for meetings and events may be required.
We highly encourage Black, Indigenous, Latine and POC applicants and those with diverse gender and sexual identities, including those who may come from non-traditional employment backgrounds.
