    Job Title: Senior Manager Global Logistics and Procurement

    Type: Full-Time reports to CEO

    Location: Fully Remote (Must reside in GA, FL, TN, AL, NC, SC) - Monthly Travel Required Additional travel possible for program or crisis response needs

    POSITION SUMMARY

    The Senior Manager Global Logistics and Procurement provides strategic leadership, operational oversight, and technical expertise for all domestic and international logistics, procurement, supply chain, and asset management functions of a U.S.-based global crisis response and humanitarian relief organization. As a growth-stage nonprofit, we are building our logistics and procurement infrastructure, controls, and reporting frameworks necessary to responsibly scale our global impact.

    This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role with no direct reports currently, working in close partnership with executive leadership to ensure operational excellence across domestic and international humanitarian initiatives.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Strategic Leadership & Systems Development

    • Develop and implement global logistics and procurement strategies.
    • Establish scalable SOPs for logistics, procurement, and inventory management.
    • Lead ERP or supply chain system optimization.
    • Develop KPIs for efficiency, compliance, and readiness.

    Domestic & International Logistics

    • Oversee international freight, customs clearance, warehousing, and distribution.
    • Manage freight forwarders, customs brokers, and transport providers.
    • Ensure compliance with export controls and trade regulations.
    • Lead pre-positioning and global supply readiness initiatives.

    Procurement & Vendor Management

    • Develop and enforce ethical procurement policies aligned with nonprofit standards.
    • Oversee sourcing, vendor vetting, and contract negotiation.
    • Ensure compliance with federal grant requirements (2 CFR 200).
    • Build and manage global supplier networks with surge capacity.

    Emergency Response & Field Deployment

    • Serve as senior logistics lead during emergency deployments.
    • Deploy to disaster zones to establish or stabilize logistics operations.
    • Support rapid mobilization of medical, shelter, WASH, and relief supplies.
    • Integrate logistics within emergency management structures.
    • Ensure safety and risk mitigation in field operations.

    Compliance & Risk Management

    • Maintain audit-ready procurement systems.
    • Develop anti-corruption and fraud prevention safeguards.
    • Conduct risk assessments for high-risk environments.

    Inventory, Asset & Warehouse Management

    • Design and implement asset tracking systems.
    • Ensure accurate inventory management and reporting.
    • Oversee warehouse safety and security standards.

    Financial Stewardship & Budget Oversight

    • Develop and manage logistics and procurement budgets.
    • Ensure cost control without compromising operational readiness.
    • Analyze cost trends and identify savings opportunities.
    • Support grant budgeting with accurate projections.

    QUALIFICATIONS: Required

    • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (master’s preferred).
    • 10+ years of progressive logistics and procurement experience.
    • 5+ years in humanitarian or disaster response environments.
    • Experience managing domestic and international supply chains.
    • Strong knowledge of federal grant procurement standards (2 CFR 200).
    • Deep understanding of international customs and trade regulations.
    • Proven leadership and budget management experience.
    • ERP or procurement systems experience.

    QUALIFICATIONS: Preferred

    • Professional certifications (CSCP, CPSM, CILT).
    • Experience with NGOs, UN agencies, or government emergency management.

    COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

    $110k to $125k - Competitive nonprofit sector compensation aligned with experience and responsibility.
