    Description

    Confluence Gallery and Art Center dba as The Confluence: Art in Twisp (“the Confluence Gallery”; the “Gallery”) announces its search for an Executive Director. The Confluence Gallery is a non-profit 501(c)(3) visual and literary arts gallery located in Twisp, Washington. The Gallery opened in 1988 and features a main gallery, a community gallery, a gallery shop, as well as displays of works by local writers who regularly present their work in the Gallery.

    The position requires experience in the visual arts (painting, photography, collage, mixed media, sculpting, curating, teaching, education in visual arts) as well as experience with literary arts (writing, publishing, teaching, being a lover of reading literature) as well as experience with non-profit 501(c)(3) organizations. The Executive Director will be responsible for the overall management and operation of the Gallery. In addition to strong leadership and communication skills, the ideal candidate will be a good collaborator able to work with diverse groups of artists and community members. The Executive Director reports to the Board of Directors. The Gallery will have a Business Manager who will oversee and perform all accounting functions under the financial oversight of the Executive Director.

    Areas of responsibility include Artistic Direction, Gallery Programs and Operations, Board Liaison, Financial Oversight, Development and Fundraising, Building Management, Planning, Marketing and Promotion, and Internal Management. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
