    Description

    The American Research Center in Egypt seeks its next US Board Clerk. The Board Clerk serves the ARCE Board of Governors and is responsible for organizing all Board and Committee meetings (some in-person, some via zoom), recording minutes and preparing documentation for all Board-related meetings. The Board Clerk also maintains Board-related and governance records and is the administrative liaison for the Board and Governors regarding meeting logistics, agenda preparation and follow-up items. Sound familiarity of nonprofit Board relations and governance issues is an advantage.

    The ideal candidate will have:

      • Strong Microsoft Office products (Word, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Publisher, Web tools and Cloud file sharing, etc.) and database/spreadsheet software (e.g. MS-Access, Excel, etc.).
      • High level communication skills in English (e.g. writing, editing, and developing formal presentations).
      • Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail.
      • Very strong interpersonal skills are essential in order to communicate effectively with all levels of contact.
      • Ability to travel

    The position is located in Alexandria, VA. Some remote work each week may be available.
