    Clinician

    Family Services Bureau

    New Community Corporation

    Under the direction of the Clinical Supervisor, the Clinician will be responsible for the provision of direct clinical services to children, adult, family and co-occurring population at the Family Service Bureau office located in the Kearny and Newark offices as needed. In addition, the Clinician will provide comprehensive mental health assessments, treatment planning, individual and group counseling; facilitate linkages to treatment and other related services.

    Responsibilities:

      • Conduct psychosocial evaluations to assess and diagnose clients for mental health disorders using the DSM-V;
    • Facilitate individual, groups, and family therapy sessions on a weekly, biweekly or monthly session based on client need;
      • Unless clinically contraindicated, collaborate with the client to develop a written treatment plan that includes goals and measurable objectives, and is client centered within the first 3-5 sessions and every 3 months in the first year and 6 months in the 2nd year or thereafter;
      • Providing the mental health counseling services specified in the client treatment plan;
    • Maintain overall 75% client contact productivity rating;
      • Documenting all counseling and education services, assessments, reassessments, referrals and follow-up in the client's clinical record, and providing appropriate signatures and dating of such entries, including those made in electronic records.
    • Provide monthly statistics to ensure compliance to contractual guidelines.

    Qualifications & Experience:

    • Master Degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy or other related field.
    • Licensed in one of the following (LAC, LSW, LPC, LCSW, LMFT and LP)
    • Two (2) year minimum experience in mental health service.
    • Good interpersonal and organizational skills

    Annual Salary- $52,000
