    General Job Description:

    The Campaign Director - Power Building at Faith in Action (FIA) supports the leadership of the Director of Power Building in the areas of program development, base-building, and strategic planning, helping to design and implement strategic initiatives with the Federation Support, Training, National Campaigns and Organizing programs. Within these overall areas of responsibility, the Director plays a pivotal role in providing support to collective organizing campaigns undertaken by the FIA national network (local/state federations plus national staff), coordinating the development of strategy and execution of an effective organizing plan.

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Help lead the design, development, and implementation of strategic initiatives within the Federation Support, Training, National Campaigns and Organizing programs, fostering base-building, leadership development, and social impact.
    • Conduct research, analyze data, and leverage insights to inform programmatic decisions, ensuring alignment with FIA's objectives and responding to the needs of diverse communities.
    • Cultivate and maintain strategic partnerships with FIA federations, other community organizations, faith-based groups, and stakeholders to expand program reach and drive collaborative initiatives that advance social change.
    • Provide staff development, training and support to program staff to enhance their skills and capacity.
    • Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments (such as Communications,. Faith Leadership and CE) to align Power Building programs with broader organizational goals and messaging.
    • Contribute to grant writing, fundraising efforts, and donor stewardship by providing programmatic insights and data-driven narratives that highlight program impact.
    • Represent Faith in Action at National Tables related to power and base building.
    • Work collaboratively with FIA International with relation to international expansion, power and base building.
    • Up to 25-50%% travel required
    • Perform additional responsibilities consistent with the role in alignment with organizational priorities.

    Education & Training Requirements

    • A bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Public Policy, Nonprofit Management, or a related field; equivalent work experience may be considered.
    • 5+ years of progressive experience in organizing, program development, community engagement, or social justice initiatives, with a focus on strategy formulation and implementation.
    • Proven track record in leading organizing campaigns at the local, state and/or federal levels.
    • Strong understanding of social justice issues, equity, diversity, and inclusion principles, with the ability to integrate these values into program design and execution.
    • Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills to address complex community challenges and drive innovative solutions.
    • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building abilities to engage stakeholders, foster partnerships, and advocate for programmatic goals.
    • Proficiency in data analysis, project management tools, and MS Office Suite; familiarity with CRM systems and program evaluation software is advantageous.
