    About NOAH

    The National Organization for Arts in Health (NOAH) is a nonprofit membership organization serving individuals and institutions dedicated to integrating the arts into healthcare and community settings. Our mission is to build community to amplify, educate about, and advocate for the power of the arts to improve health and wellbeing for all people.

    Founded in 2016, NOAH has steadily grown its membership across the U.S. and internationally including artists, arts administrators, healthcare professionals, researchers, and educators.

    We’re a small, collaborative team with big goals and a leading voice in the national arts in health field.

    The Role

    We’re seeking a creative and organized Membership and Communications Coordinator to help strengthen our community and share NOAH’s impact.

    This position supports both membership engagement and core communications ensuring our members feel connected and our programs are visible across the field.

    What You’ll Do

    Membership Management

      • Process new member applications, renewals, and changes
      • Reach out to lapsed members and maintain accurate records
      • Coordinate membership billing and reporting

    Member Services

      • Serve as the primary point of contact for member questions
      • Manage onboarding communications and monthly member events
      • Respond promptly to inquiries and support a positive member experience

    Communications

      • Write and distribute the monthly member newsletter
      • Create social media content (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn)
      • Design simple graphics and short videos using Canva
      • Maintain website updates via WordPress

    Conference Support

      • Develop and schedule promotional content for NOAH’s annual national conference
      • Manage pre- and post-conference communications
      • Update conference webpages and sponsor listings

    What You Bring

      • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field — or equivalent professional experience.
      • 3–5 years of experience in membership support, customer service, or communications.
      • Strong written communication and customer service skills
      • Organizational skills and attention to detail
      • Experience with membership databases or CRM systems
      • Proficiency with email marketing, social media, and WordPress
      • Basic graphic design skills using Canva
      • Ability to work independently in remote environment

    Bonus points if you have:

      • Experience in the nonprofit or arts sector
      • Knowledge of the arts in health field
      • Experience with MembershipWorks

    Schedule & Compensation

      • Part-time: 25 hours per week (flexible schedule within business hours)
      • Pay: $23–$25/hour (base) + seasonal increase during conference prep
      • Benefits: 5 paid vacation days (prorated), 9 holidays + 1 floating holiday, 48 hours sick PTO
      • Remote: Work from anywhere in the U.S.
      • Travel: Optional conference attendance (travel covered)
