Working in close collaboration with both the Artistic Director and Executive Director, the Manager develops and executes annual and project-based marketing strategies across digital platforms, print collateral, and partner channels. This position requires a creative and analytical thinker who excels at managing multiple projects, overseeing contractors, and building cohesive, metrics-driven campaigns.

    • Grow GALLIM’s visibility and expand social media, email, and web audiences through cohesive, measurable marketing initiatives.
    • Liaise with presenters, theaters, universities, and educational institutions to coordinate and strategize shared promotional opportunities.
    • Oversee all external marketing contractors, including graphic designers, videographers, media firms, and photographers.

    • Manage and monitor all social media channels, especially Instagram and Facebook.
    • Create and design simple marketing assets using Canva and other basic design tools; collaborate with external graphic designers for major campaigns.
    • Edit and produce short-form video content, including reels, trailers, and other promotional footage.
    • Draft all marketing copy across platforms, including social media captions, email newsletters, website updates, brochures, and announcements.
    • Lead all email marketing efforts in Mailchimp including content planning, design, segmentation, scheduling, and analytics.
    • Report on engagement metrics across Mailchimp, Meta, and other digital platforms; use data to refine strategy.

    Website Oversight

    • Oversee the full redesign of GALLIM’s website and work directly with external developers/designers.
    • Maintain ongoing updates and ensure content is accurate, compelling, and aligned with current branding.

    Content Capture & Asset Management

    • Capture onsite content at rehearsals, performances, events, and educational programs.
    • Manage GALLIM’s archival systems for video, photography, and graphic assets.
    • Select and distribute approved images, videos, and promotional materials to presenters and partners.

    Marketing Operations & Project Management

    • Coordinate marketing deliverables across departments, ensuring deadlines are met for development, programming, education, and production needs.
    • Review, proofread, and facilitate approval for all marketing materials produced internally or by presenters.
    • Oversee merchandising efforts, including branded products, inventory management, and e-commerce operations.
    • Support recruitment and supervision of interns or work-study students assisting with marketing and communications.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a marketing role, ideally within the performing arts or nonprofit sector.
    • Demonstrated experience with analytics and reporting for social media, email marketing, and digital campaigns.
    • Proven ability to produce and edit short-form video content; familiarity with trending digital formats.
