  • About Us

Kindezi (K-8) embraces the collective responsibility and honor of rearing the village’s youth and raising our community’s children as future leaders of the global world. As such, we strive to create schools we are proud of and places where all members of the school community; teachers, staff, and parents, feel comfortable sending their children here. We hold a high bar for our teachers and work to hire elite, loving teachers that have a track-record of building deep relationships with students and leading them to high levels of student achievement. Importantly, Kindezi teachers are here because they find deep meaning in developing the awesome potential in every student. To accomplish this lofty goal, we maintain small class sizes (6-8 students per class), prioritize socio-emotional development, and intersperse electives such as creative writing, engineering, drama, music and computer science into the school day. To date, we have outperformed Atlanta Public Schools on the 2015-16 Georgia Milestones assessment across grade levels. We also received the highest possible rating for all Georgia Charter Schools on the Beating the Odds report, a report that evaluates schools based on their ability to close the achievement gap.
