  • About Us

The Wisconsin Woodland Owners Association is a non-profit 501(c)(3), educational association for Wisconsin’s private woodland owners.

Since 1979, WWOA offers year-round educational opportunities for novice and experienced private woodland owners who want to become better stewards of their woodlands. In addition, WWOA publishes a quarterly, award-winning magazine, Wisconsin Woodlands, holds many local chapter events, sponsors workshops, conferences, field days and an annual meeting each September.

One of our most valuable ways to learn comes from members sharing their experiences. WWOA’s members are dedicated land owners with experiences to share in every aspect of caring for your woodlands. Whether you bought your woods for hunting, recreation, quiet beauty or to keep a family heritage, WWOA can help keep the woods healthy and sustainable for future generations. We care about our woods, water quality, wildlife habitat, and our local communities. Whether you hope to own woods someday, own a little bit of woods or a large woodland, we hope you will join us! If you enjoy the outdoors, you will enjoy the experience of being a WWOA member.
