ANCON was founded in 1985 by a group of visionaries: business men and women, entrepreneurs, scientists, and community leaders to safeguard the country's natural heritage. Mission: Conserve the nature and biodiversity of Panama for present and future generations.

Vision: Inspire and contribute to the protection and restoration of natural resources and ecosystems, managing the environmental, social, economic, and cultural prosperity of Panama, through leadership in environmental conservation and sustainable development of the country.
