Organization Description: The Bread Project (TBP) offers a 5 week,150-hour culinary and baking job training program to empower individuals with limited resources on their path to self-sufficiency. We offer skills instruction, on-the-job training and assistance with establishing a career in the food industry. After successfully completing our Program, we connect graduates with job opportunities and provide them with 12 months of personalized support services. Post-graduation support includes intensive job placement counseling, helping them pursue appropriate employment matches, ongoing career coaching, application assistance, and access to supplemental training to ensure our graduates further their professional development and increase their economic opportunities.
Our students must be low income to qualify for enrollment. They are generally refugees, asylees, part of the re-entry population and/or housing insecure. They seek to rebuild their lives. The Bread Project provides the home where they receive training, a positive environment, and a strong network of support. TBP helps put them on their path to employment.
