About Us

VIRTUAL VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY FOR HIGH SCHOOL & COLLEGE STUDENTS

At Conversations to Remember, we match high school & college students with senior citizens who are living in long term care communities for weekly virtual visits. All of the volunteering is done virtually, including the training that we provide. The students are asked to commit to 1 hour per week, at the same day and time each week. There will be 2 or 3 students assigned to each weekly call. If you have a friend whom you want to volunteer with, we can accommodate that, but you do not need to join with anyone, and we will match you with other college students. Students who want to volunteer for additional hours, may do so. Most of the senior citizens who we work with have some amount of cognitive decline, and we do train the volunteers in how to handle a call with an individual who has dementia. We work with long term care communities across the United States, including Native American tribes.

While the time commitment is as little as 1 hour per week, this is a commitment to be available each week on a recurring basis, not just one time.

For more information, and to submit an interest form, go to www.ConversationsToRemember.org.

The start date for this is rolling. You can submit an interest form through our website at any time, and join the next available training so you can begin volunteering.
