The Actuarial Foundation

The mission of the Math Motivators program is to help close the opportunity gap by providing a volunteer-driven math tutoring program that pairs underserved 3rd -12th grade students with professionals and college students with strong math backgrounds. The goal is to enhance math education for elementary, middle school and high school students who do not otherwise have access to tutors. Tutoring services are needed now, more than ever, and Math Motivators is ready to help.

·      Tutors are required to complete a Sterling Background check.

·      Each tutor works with two students.

·      Virtual and in-person opportunities available.

·      Training, resources, and material needed for tutoring will be provided.

·      Time commitment (including prep time) – Typically 1-2 hours per week. Shorter term and summertime opportunities may also be available.
