DRMI is a grassroots 501c3 organization that provides secular (non-religious) life-skills enhancement programs. Most of our programs serve low-income, at-risk youth and adults who are overcoming past life decisions that have negatively impacted their status in the community. DRMI strives to empower these individuals through our life skills programs, workshops, classes; and coaching and mentoring opportunities. DRMI administers five core programs: 1. Geeks & Gramps (grandparents) Program provides an opportunity for social and intergenerational connectedness and engagement between youth 8-18 and older adults. 2. In partnership with FL Department of Corrections (FDC) and Leon County Detention Facility (LCDF), BBARC and Goodwill, DRMI facilitates onsite classes of its Control the Fire! (c) Anger Management Program for adults and teens. This program is also a Tallahassee/Leon County court-approved class for clients who are court-ordered to attend anger management classes. 3. Reclaiming Freedom from Addictions & Substances Program is another partnership with the FDC and LCDF, with programs facilitated onsite at correctional facilities. 4. DRMI sponsors the annual DRMI Street Corner giveaway event for the unhoused community and those in need at the Carter Howell Strong Park in the community of Frenchtown in Tallahassee.
