About Us

Founded in 1962, the International Council of Voluntary Agencies (ICVA) is a global network of non-‐governmental organisations whose mission is to make humanitarian action more principled and effective by working collectively and independently to influence policy and practice. Humanitarian policy and advocacy are part of ICVA’s core work as sharing views and experiences, policy dialogue, and collective NGO voices help to shape humanitarian practice.
