Climb Hire’s mission is to create economic opportunity and mobility for overlooked and hidden talent. We prepare working adults age 24-33 for in-demand Salesforce Administrator roles at growing companies committed to building an inclusive workforce. Our program model is inspired by LinkedIn’s data that finds job seekers are 9x more likely to secure a job through a referral. As such, we emphasize building an authentic and deep community of peers and professional colleagues so that Climbers have a life-long network of support and ever-growing social capital. Over the course of the program, Climbers build meaningful relationships with one another and with volunteers through class assignments, a capstone project, and project-based exercises that emphasize technical and professional skills. This deep focus on relationships is critical given that many Climbers do not come to the program with robust professional networks, a hurdle to career advancement and upward mobility.
All Climbers are incredibly motivated and driven and are ready to do the hard work. Most Climbers hold multiple jobs, work for minimum wage, and have taken some college classes. Some have four year degrees while do not. Climb Hire’s program takes place in the evenings from 6 pm - 9 pm and on Saturdays from 10 am - 4 pm. Through a blended model of online and in-person sessions, Climbers complete 225 hours of training in 20 weeks. Once Climbers secure a position that pays at least $45k, they contribute $150 per month for 48 months to pay the program costs for future participants.
Relationships Matter: There is an inextricable link between relationships and accessing opportunity. We value connectedness, helping others, listening deeply, expressing empathy, and kindness.
Do the Hard Work: Breaking into a new industry, learning a new professional skill, and mastering a complex CRM requires hard work and hours of focus. There are no shortcuts. We are relentless about doing the work.
Generosity: Climbers are committed to the success of their peers and are always looking out for job opportunities so that they can provide a referral. We are committed to lending a hand to members of our community.
Overcoming Adversity: We recognize that unconscious bias and deep systemic barriers exist in the workforce that can lead to obstacles for breaking into new professional environments. We work collectively to overcome societal challenges.
Joy: Learning a new skill can be fun. We aim to create a joyful learning atmosphere where Climbers are supported and positioned to break into new careers.
