  • Mission

STS Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing memorable cultural exchanges between American families and young people from other parts of the world. Our mission is to foster greater mutual understanding and to empower young people to grow through cultural exchange.

    About Us

STS Foundation was founded in 1986. Since then STS Foundation has placed thousands of foreign high school exchange students, from over 40 countries in homes all across America. For nearly 40 years, STS Foundation has taken great pride in our personal and caring approach to our students, host families, local coordinators, schools, partner organizations, and everyone involved in our program. STS Foundation is a clear leader in the field of international education and cultural exchanges. Our students come from Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Holland, Austria, Switzerland, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Australia, New Zealand, Poland, Brazil, and many more countries around the world.

We believe in bringing people together with mutual respect, promoting personal growth and a positive global perspective which can break down cultural barriers, and increase respect and understanding of each other’s way of life. We are committed to facilitating a life-changing program for all participants, with the sole purpose of providing students with a safe and nurturing environment where they can learn and grow. We provide an opportunity for cultural exchange students to become citizen diplomats while learning about other cultures, and schools with the opportunity to enrich their life.
