    Reading today... leading tomorrowThe Ohio Reading Corps is a program through the ESC with grant funding from the national AmeriCorps and ServeOhio, Ohio’s commission on service and volunteerism.

    Ohio Reading Corps Members include retired teachers, recent graduates, licensed educators and even individuals from other professions interested in serving their community.

    Members of the ORC program serve 30 hours per week in elementary schools, providing reading support to struggling students in grades K-3. Members receive the following benefits: a monthly stipend of $640, an Education Award of $2,907, an abundance of high-quality trainings, student loan forbearance, help with resume-building and the chance to impact students while developing friendships with fellow corps members.
