We started in June 2019 and then COVID hit in 2020; therefore, we are trying to get our program off the ground now. Our Advancing Homeownership Program focuses on providing temporary housing at reduced market rental rates up to 18 months, free financial coaching and free homeownership course so that the participant will have a better chance at becoming pre-qualified for a mortgage. Our goal is for all of participants to become homeowners; and are measurable goal is when they receive their pre approval letter from their lender. So far, we have created a social media presence to help make our cause known to attract volunteers, participants and those who want to help support our mission. We have partnerships with the local city government and have received corporate support; however, there is so much more that needs to be done. We need land and houses to put the participant in temporarily while they are receiving a huge savings on rent and free financial education. We hope our volunteers can help us create fundraising plans, development plans, feasibility study, gift acceptance policy, case for support, creative strategies to market on social media and other ways help get our project off the ground. We a few people in our financial coaching program now, but they need housing. Before we assist more people, we need more resources to complete the program.
