West Contra Costa Public Education Fund
The West Contra Costa Education Fund (Ed Fund) was established in 1983 to build education support for the students, staff, parents, and communities of West Contra Costa Unified School District (WCCUSD). We advance our mission by advocating for excellence in education, assisting WCCUSD in providing high-quality learning experiences, promoting community engagement and investment in education, and supporting student access to educational opportunities.
The Ed Fund collaborates with WCCUSD and community partners to ultimately ensure WCCUSD students may realize their full potential. The Ed Fund accomplishes its mission through four priority areas. We:
- Celebrate and support teachers and students
- Promote college readiness, access, and success
- Pilot programs and initiatives to fill gaps in student learning
- Build capacity of local, fiscally sponsored education programs
The Ed Fund understands the opportunities and challenges that face the WCCUSD community. As the lead for the West Contra Costa Literacy Coalition, through our collaborative efforts, we can advance WCCUSD’s goal that students acquire the skills and knowledge to succeed in the world.
