    The Runkle School Extended day Program (RED) is a non-profit, tuition-supported organization housed at the Runkle School in Brookline, Massachusetts. The program relies on parent volunteers for its Board of Directors and strongly encourages parental involvement in the various program activities. The program was established to provide quality after school childcare to Runkle School children in Pre-Kindergarten through Seventh Grade. RED has approximately 97 Kindergarten through Seventh Graders enrolled in the afternoon program, which meets from 2:00-5:45 PM daily and has an overall teacher to student ratio of 1:8. The program offers a Pre-K Extended Day option from 11:15AM -1:45 PM, with a teacher to student ratio of 1:6.
