  • About Us

SCNO is a national organization of talented undergraduate business students, who are committed to improving their local communities through pro-bono consulting engagements for local non-profit organizations. Our efforts are guided by three main objectives:

To Enrich - Our primary goal is to help non-profits identify and pursue opportunities to improve their organization. We believe that by employing our consulting framework in the non-profit sector, our members can amplify their impact throughout the community and generate results well beyond just the duration of their project.

To Learn - SCNO projects are learning experiences for both the student and the non-profit client. Students get exposure to teamwork, consulting, and “real-world” challenges, while the non-profit benefits from the experience, recent business education, and enthusiasm of the student teams.

To Inspire - SCNO gives students the opportunity, early in their professional development, to recognize the value of philanthropic involvement beyond just the annual tax-deductible donation. Our hope is that the SCNO model of active civic responsibility will endure past our members’ graduation, and ultimately influence the greater business community. SCNO National The organization started with one chapter at the University of Arizona in 2000, and quickly proved the hypothesis that the non-profit community could benefit from the resources and enthusiasm of local undergraduate students, pursuing degrees in Business.
