YMCA Multicultural Achievers

Multi-Cultural Achievers is a college access and career readiness program for students in grades 9-12 that focuses on preparing teens for life after high school. Students enrolled in the program learn about diverse post-secondary education options through college tours, guest speakers, and group activities. Multi-Cultural Achievers relies on caring adults from the community to support YMCA program staff and give students individualized attention as they work on college applications, scholarships, and financial aid. Youth also work on developing essential job skills such as resume writing, interviewing, and workplace etiquette. Multi-Cultural Achievers emphasizes personal growth through leadership development, teamwork, personal responsibility, and goal setting.
