National Public Education Support Fund
NPESF was founded in 2008 to promote equitable opportunity for all children to obtain a high-quality public education from birth through college and career. NPESF supports this mission in three ways:
- Managing the Education Funder Strategy Group (EFSG), a forum of 30 leading state, regional, and national foundations focused on education policy reform;
- Making grants to other public charities that share our vision and advance key drivers of effective education reform; and
- Providing leadership support to the Alliance for Excellent Education, the nation’s premiere advocacy organization for promoting high school transformation. AEE is chaired by NPESF Founder and President Dan Leeds.
Launched in 2009, the Education Funder Strategy Group (EFSG) is a collaborative community of leading foundations focused on national education policy, early learning through K – 12 to college and career. EFSG members meet by phone monthly and in person quarterly to share information, meet with nation education policy leaders and work together to multiply the value of their philanthropic investments to improve public education for each and every child in America.
