Vilnius Jewish Public Library

  • About Us

The Vilnius Jewish Public Library opened on December 16, 2011. It is the first Jewish public library in Lithuania since the liquidation of the Vilna Ghetto in September, 1943. The idea of the library is to promote tolerance, understanding, and acceptance. This is being done by building a collection of material which celebrates culture created by Jews and not only Jewish culture. There is a difference.
