    About Us

The food pantry is an all-volunteer organization, established in 1986, serving the residents of the greater New London / Southeastern CT area through offering the selection of groceries to those who cannot afford to meet their nutritional needs. The Pantry provides canned goods, cereal, pasta, beans, vegetables, fresh fruit, bread and meats when available to individuals and families requiring assistance. Presently the Pantry is open for food distribution on Monday from 12:30 -2:30PM and Thursday from 9:30-11:30AM based on available staffing.

The Pantry relies on volunteers to meet our goals. As a non-profit organization, the NLFPA Treasurer position on our Board is very important as we need to ensure that our expenses and donations are managed well.
