  • Mission

FRIENDS OF LINDEN ANIMAL SHELTER (FOLAS) is an all volunteer non-profit no-kill animal rescue group formed in 2000. We are dedicated to caring for and finding lifelong, committed and loving homes for the many deserving animals that have either found their way into Linden Animal Control, are unwanted previous pets, or unclaimed strays, regardless of the manner they arrive into our system. We have found homes for hundreds of animals. Our volunteers must have their own health insurance and be at least 18 years old. If you can commit to at least 2 hours a week, we will set you up for a short training session with either the cats or dogs and you will be on your way to making a difference in an animal's life. Please fill out the online volunteer application at folas.org and a volunteer will get back to your shortly.

    About Us

We promote spay/neuter of all companion animals and strive to educate the public on the importance of sterilization. Animals adopted through FOLAS are vetted, vaccinated, and spayed/neutered (if age appropriate).
