DanceWorks Chicago

Founded in 2007, DanceWorks Chicago (DWC) is a creative incubator focusing on the development of young people to foster a diverse next generation of dance artists.   Unique within Chicago's cultural landscape, DWC provides artistic training and guidance along with financial, emotional, and practical support for early career professionals.  DWC invests in artist cultivation through ongoing technical training and professional development, intense and intentional mentorship, collaborations and relationship-building with a global perspective, and performances shining a light on dancers and dance.

We fundamentally trust that the inclusion of different perspectives and ideas will unearth a standard of creativity and innovation that cannot be achieved by one. Team DWC invites and welcomes diversity of thought and expression in the studio, on stage, in the board room, and behind-the-scenes.
