Beyondmedia Education

Beyondmedia Education's mission is to collaborate with under-served and under-represented women, youth and communities to tell their stories, connect their stories to the world around us, and organize for social justice through the creation and distribution of media arts.

We offer Media Activism Workshops and media services to schools, community organizations, and agencies serving women and youth.

Women and Prison: A Site for Resistance is an interactive website launched by Beyondmedia. The site has a dual objective: to make visible women's experiences in the criminal justice system; and to offer information, strategies and actions that challenge the system and the ways that it reproduces discrimination, exploitation, and civil injustices in the treatment of women and their families. http://womenandprison.org/
