Loudoun Literacy Council

  • About Us

Loudoun Literacy Council has been changing lives through reading and learning to promote personal growth and empowerment since 1980. We recruit and train volunteers to teach adults--both native-speakers and speakers of other languages--to read, speak, write, and understand English. For children, we provide early literacy enrichment for at-risk preschool children and children who reside in our local homeless shelters. We support family literacy through donating book bundles to at-risk children and mothers-to-be. Our classes and programs are available to all who reside or work in Loudoun County. Our services empower individuals by giving them the language tools they need to self-advocate.
