Imaara Survivor Support Foundation is dedicated to preventing gender-based violence and providing crucial support to survivors.
We support survivors of violence by providing awareness and access to resources and increasing education on consent, rights, laws, and gender-based violence (GBV).
Our efforts also focus on fostering empathy for survivors, educating communities about gender-based violence (GBV), and empowering individuals to become active bystanders who take action against GBV.

Vision:
We help
who have experienced any form of violence.
What forms of violence do we address:
Gender-Based Violence (GBV) can happen anywhere—at home, school, college, work, or in public spaces. It can also be perpetrated by anyone—family members, friends, colleagues, or even strangers.
Think of violence as a spectrum. It may start with behaviors like bullying, discrimination, or stalking and escalate to other forms of abuse. Through our work, we support survivors effected by:
Survivor Support through The Butterfly Hug Program:
We offer information about a wide range of existing resources to help survivors who may not know where to find support. These resources are aimed at assisting them in their journey toward recovery and healing. For instance, if a survivor of GBV needs medical or legal assistance but doesn’t know where to turn or who to contact, we step in to help. We act as an online and offline database, connecting them to the right resources.
We also maintain a resource hub of articles with exclusive information on various facets of GBV and support.
Project Tell-Tale:
We anonymously document and share stories of GBV survivors and bystanders through blogs & podcasts to raise awareness, break the silence, empower, educate, advocate and inspire change, challenge stigma, and receive support and solidarity for one's experiences.
GBV Prevention Program:
We conduct workshops across diverse settings for individuals from various backgrounds on topics such as consent, gender-based violence (GBV), supporting survivors, and bystander intervention.
We also conduct research and develop training materials for systems and various populations to become sensitive & trauma-informed.
