  • About Us

The Society operates 3 museums (General South Florida History & Archaeology, a House Museum, and a Schoolhouse Museum) and a research library in the heart of downtown Fort Lauderdale. There are hundreds of volunteer ops in our library, museum collections, research assistance, tour guides, and educational programs. We tell the stories of the diverse peoples that have inhabited South Florida for 2,000 years.
