Urban Assembly Institute of Math and Science for Young Women (UAI) is an all-girls 6^th-12^th grade school located in Downtown Brooklyn. Our mission is to encourage and foster the achievement of young women in math, science and technology. Our college-preparatory curriculum uses interdisciplinary, inquiry-based models of learning that actively engage all students in both their advanced work in math, science and technology as well as their other classes.

UAI was founded on the belief that in order to develop successful leaders, happy individuals and independent life-long learners, every aspect of a child’s academic and social-emotional life must be nurtured and cared for. This belief is carried out through mentorships, internships, service opportunities, character and life skill development, and access to college level classes at our partnership universities.
