BUZZ MOVEMENT C.I.C.

Our core social object is to tackle the youth loneliness epidemic in the UK. We achieve this by designing and building innovative, 'tech-for-good' digital interventions.

Who We Are We are BUZZ MOVEMENT C.I.C., a newly incorporated, non-profit social enterprise. Our team includes 11 dedicated part-time volunteers, including university students who represent the demographic we aim to assist.

• Non-Profit Commitment: As a Community Interest Company (CIC) Limited by Guarantee, we are legally bound to our social mission. We operate under a statutory "asset lock," ensuring all assets and future profits are reinvested to benefit the community rather than distributed for private gain.

Our Values Our work is built on the core values of inclusivity, safety, and authenticity. We are dedicated to creating "identity-safe spaces" for young people who feel disconnected, underrepresented, or overlooked by conventional social platforms.

Whom We Serve We are addressing the "loneliness pandemic," a critical public health crisis.

• The Reality: Contrary to popular belief, the loneliest age group in the UK is young adults aged 18–30, who are more than twice as likely to feel lonely "often or always" compared to those over 70.
• Focus Areas: We support those most at risk, including renters, those relocating for work or university, and individuals experiencing discrimination (such as LGBTQIA+, disabled, and ethnic minority individuals).

How We HelpWe are developing 'Project Connect,' a free-to-use mobile application designed to dismantle the barriers to connection.

• Community-Led: Our platform is co-designed with our community through a Youth Advisory Panel to ensure it is guided by lived experiences.
• Safe and Supported: We are actively building partnerships with leading UK mental health charities to integrate expert resources and safeguarding pathways directly into our platform.
• Free Forever: By operating as a CIC eligible for grant funding, we can provide this service for free, forever, without relying on a profit-first business model.
