About Us

The Southeast Alaska Conservation Council (SEACC) has spent the last 50 years working to protect the Tongass National Forest and the Inside Passage Waters from harmful timber practices, irresponsible mining projects, and other dangers to the rare environmental quality of Southeast Alaska. Working with the voices and needs of the communities throughout the archipelago that makes up the region, we focus on policy and goal oriented work that aims to achieve specific, actionable goals regarding policy and practice on the city, state, and federal levels to protect the special places of the Tongass and the Inside Passage.
