ARCC Programs was founded in 1983 with the goal of introducing young adults to outdoor challenges in a fun, safe and educational environment. Over the years we have evolved from offering primarily wilderness based programs to a roster of international community service based programs. Our mission is to provide unique, life changing educational experiences for teenagers in places rarely visited and seldom experienced on summer programs and Gap Semester programs around the world. We are accredited by the Gap Year Association and offer college credit on our Gap programs.
ARCC Summer and Gap programs focus on community-driven and community-led sustainable projects that run on the ground year round. We invest in local communities by working with in-country partners and individuals who know
the needs of the community and help provide quality projects that directly benefit the places our leaders and students visit. We prioritize grassroots organizations that allow students to have hands-on experiences, while building meaningful relationships with community members.
