About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Finance Operations Associate to support the Finance and Compliance functions at MSN. This role is vital in ensuring smooth financial operations—from managing event payouts and processing payments to coordinating with cross-functional teams on financial reporting and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Support daily finance operations, including Stripe payments, event host payouts, refunds, and managing any Stripe holds.
• Maintain and regularly update the payment and revenue tracker using Google Sheets.
• Assist with compliance filings by gathering and organizing transaction data, financial summaries, and relevant reports.
• Coordinate with Operations and Legal teams to ensure partner and vendor payment approvals are completed accurately and on time.
• Prepare and deliver weekly payout and expense reports for the COO and Finance Lead.
• Monitor transactions for discrepancies or failures, flagging issues promptly and assisting with resolution.
• Contribute to setting up, improving, and documenting finance workflows and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in finance operations, fintech, startup, or platform-based roles.
• Strong proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets (formulas, pivot tables, reconciliation tracking).
• Familiarity with Stripe Dashboard or similar payment systems.
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and accuracy.
• Proactive communicator with strong problem-solving and coordination skills.
