LoopRoots Foundation is seeking a mission-driven Volunteer Marketing & Communications Specialist to amplify our work supporting justice-impacted families and returning citizens.
You’ll help shape how the public, partners, and funders understand our impact — from campaigns and media outreach to digital storytelling and brand strategy.
If you’re passionate about communications with purpose, this role offers hands-on leadership experience and meaningful social impact.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and execute marketing & communications strategies
- Create social media, email, and newsletter content
- Draft press releases, media pitches, and campaign messaging
- Support event promotion and community outreach efforts
- Help maintain brand voice and storytelling consistency
- Track engagement, media coverage, and growth metrics
- Collaborate directly with leadership on visibility initiatives

You’re a Great Fit If You Have
- Experience or interest in marketing, communications, PR, or journalism
- Strong writing and storytelling skills
- Comfort with social media and digital tools (Canva, email platforms, etc.)
- Ability to translate complex issues into clear, compelling messages
- Passion for social justice, equity, and community empowerment
- 5–10 hours/week availability (remote-friendly)
