You’ll help shape how the public, partners, and funders understand our impact — from campaigns and media outreach to digital storytelling and brand strategy.

    What You’ll Do

      • Develop and execute marketing & communications strategies
      • Create social media, email, and newsletter content
      • Draft press releases, media pitches, and campaign messaging
      • Support event promotion and community outreach efforts
      • Help maintain brand voice and storytelling consistency
      • Track engagement, media coverage, and growth metrics
      • Collaborate directly with leadership on visibility initiatives

    Key Benefits of Volunteering

    Professional & Personal Development

      • Direct mentorship from the Founder & CEO, executive, and outreach teams
      • Hands-on experience in nonprofit operations, communications, and leadership coordination
      • Career advancement potential with opportunity to transition into a paid role (PR Manager/Publicist track)
      • Professional references and letter of recommendation
      • Skill building in storytelling, strategy, empathy, and cross-functional leadership
      • Training provided for tools, messaging, and workflows

    Community & Social Impact

      • Direct community impact helping break cycles of isolation and incarceration
      • Support families staying connected with incarcerated loved ones
      • Strengthen neighborhoods through access to mental health and reentry services
      • Advocacy opportunities as a voice for justice-impacted communities

You’re a Great Fit If You Have

      • Experience or interest in marketing, communications, PR, or journalism
      • Strong writing and storytelling skills
      • Comfort with social media and digital tools (Canva, email platforms, etc.)
      • Ability to translate complex issues into clear, compelling messages
      • Passion for social justice, equity, and community empowerment
      • 5–10 hours/week availability (remote-friendly)
