    Position Overview

    The Project Manager will organize, lead, and execute mission-critical projects that directly impact our ability to serve the community and achieve our strategic objectives. This individual will be responsible for defining project scope, planning activities, managing resources, coordinating teams (including staff and volunteers), and ensuring all projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with funding requirements.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Project Planning & Implementation: Define project objectives, scope, timelines, and deliverables. Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and work breakdown structures.
    • Budget & Resource Management: Create and monitor project budgets, track expenses, and ensure financial sustainability and alignment with donor expectations and grant requirements. Efficiently allocate resources, including staff, volunteers, and external vendors.
    • Team Coordination & Leadership: Coordinate project teams, which may include paid staff, volunteers, and external partners. Assign tasks, provide guidance, and foster a collaborative and motivated work environment.
    • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the central point of contact, providing regular, clear, and empathetic communication to all stakeholders, including staff, board members, donors, and community partners. Prepare and present progress reports.
    • Risk Management & Problem Solving: Identify potential obstacles and risks, develop mitigation strategies, and adapt quickly to unforeseen challenges in a resource-constrained environment.
    • Monitoring & Evaluation: Track project progress using key performance indicators (KPIs) and data-driven approaches. Evaluate outcomes to assess impact and identify areas for improvement.
    • Compliance & Reporting: Ensure strict compliance with all legal, financial, and grant-specific reporting standards. Maintain all necessary documentation and records.

    Qualifications & Skills

    • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, Business Administration) or equivalent work experience.
    • Experience: 1-5 years of experience in project management, preferably within a nonprofit or community-focused setting.
    • Project Management Expertise: Strong knowledge of project management principles, methodologies, and tools.
    • Financial Acumen: Demonstrated experience in budget development, financial management, and tracking expenses.
    • Soft Skills: Excellent organizational, time management, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse groups of people.
    • Mission Alignment: A deep commitment to the organization's mission and the ability to articulate its impact to various stakeholders.
    • Adaptability: Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and be flexible in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
