    Description

    The Milford Historical Society is seeking a volunteer Treasurer / Director. We are a small nonprofit 501(c)3 that actively collects and preserves the history of Milford, Michigan. Our society manages the Milford Historical Museum, a few properties in town, hosts a variety of community events throughout the year, offers scholarship opportunities, and more.

    The Treasurer role requires basic level Quickbooks and Accounting knowledge (processing donations, checks, maintenance payments, and basic financial reports.

    The Treasurer would be expected to volunteer a minimum of 8-10 hours per month (2-3 hours per week) onsite at the Milford Historical Museum office in Downtown Milford and to be present for monthly Board of Director meetings (1-2 hr per month commitment).

    This is an unpaid volunteer position and a $25 annual membership fee would be expected from the candidate. Our volunteers range from those still in school working to build skills to those who have retired looking to give back to their community. We are open to those in school and welcome those starting their careers.
