    Description

Volunteer Salesforce & Platform Builder – Help Power a Community Service Network (Remote)

We’re looking for a hands-on, technically minded volunteer to help shape and support the next phase of a growing community-service platform.

I Want To Mow Your Lawn® is a nonprofit that connects volunteers with older adults, veterans, and neighbors in need of outdoor help. What started as a simple grassroots effort has grown into a nationwide network — and now we’re building the systems to support that growth sustainably.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building practical systems, improving workflows, and turning ideas into working tools — without the pressure of a corporate environment.

You’ll help guide the structure and evolution of our volunteer and service-request platform, with a focus on:

    • Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud (2026-ready)
    • Volunteer coordination workflows
    • Service request tracking
    • Event and group service-day planning
    • Simple, scalable data design
    • Improving the experience for volunteers and homeowners alike

This is not a coding-heavy role — it’s about architecture, structure, and thoughtful design. Think builder mindset, not consultant decks.

    What You’ll Help With

    • Advising on Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud setup and best practices
    • Helping design clean, simple data models for volunteers, service requests, and events
    • Providing guidance on automation, reporting, and workflows
    • Helping shape a future “group service day” or event-management feature
    • Improving clarity, usability, and sustainability of our systems
    • Helping ensure our platform can scale without adding complexity or cost

    Who This Is Great For

    • Salesforce admins or architects (especially nonprofit experience)
    • Product-minded technologists who enjoy building real-world tools
    • Developers or analysts looking to contribute skills for good
    • Professionals between roles who want to stay sharp and do meaningful work
    • Anyone who enjoys solving messy, real-life operational problems

    Time Commitment

Flexible. Even 1–3 hours per week can make a meaningful impact.

This is a volunteer / pro bono role, but your work will directly influence how a national nonprofit operates and scales. You’ll have visibility, autonomy, and real-world impact.

    Why This Matters

Every improvement you help make translates to:

    • Faster response times for neighbors in need
    • Better coordination for volunteers
    • Clearer reporting for grants and partnerships
    • Less manual work and more community impact

You’re not building software for software’s sake — you’re helping people show up for one another.
