2D Motion & Micro-Reels Volunteer (Animation/Video)

CCID advances the rights of women, girls and marginalized communities in Cameroon by strengthening community leaders and grassroots organizations to deliver gender-just outcomes in health, education and human rights. Communications, arts and youth leadership are core to our change strategy.

To scale girl-led SRHR storytelling, CCID is building a lean “creative studio” that produces short, culturally resonant videos for TikTok/IG/FB/WhatsApp and community screenings. The intern will convert co-created scripts into compelling 2D motion explainers and micro-reels that inform, shift norms and link audiences to youth-friendly services.

• Co-create scripts with girls’ club reps; develop storyboards/animatics.
• Design simple characters/icons; animate scenes, transitions, kinetic text.
• Edit vertical (9:16), square (1:1) and horizontal (16:9); add subtitles/captions.
• Deliver masters + social cuts, thumbnails and copy; manage project files.
• Iterate from user tests; uphold consent, do-no-harm and anonymization.

Diploma/Undergraduate in Animation, Motion Design, Film/Media, Graphic Design or related, 2D animation, video editing, visual storytelling, typography. Experience creating short social videos; basic storyboarding; collaborating with non-technical stakeholders.

• After Effects/Premiere or DaVinci Resolve; basic Illustrator/Krita/Figma.
• Nice-to-have: OpenToonz/Blender (grease-pencil); CapCut for quick cuts.
• Strong pacing, audio syncing, captioning; organized and detail-oriented.
• Values: feminist, inclusive, consent-based portrayal; comfortable with SRHR themes.
