Join our team as the Donor Stewardship Coordinator, where you’ll play a vital role in thanking and engaging the donors and sponsors who make our mission possible. This position is perfect for a detail-oriented communicator who enjoys crafting meaningful messages and helping supporters feel valued.

Myositis Support and Understanding (MSU) is a leading non-profit dedicated to empowering and advocating for individuals affected by myositis, a group of rare autoimmune diseases. We provide vital resources, foster community, and raise awareness to improve the lives of those living with these challenging conditions.

    Responsibility

The Donor Stewardship Coordinator will manage and nurture relationships with donors and sponsors by expressing gratitude and ensuring they feel valued. This includes preparing and sending personalized communications such as thank-you letters, tax acknowledgements, and holiday cards. The position may also provide administrative or operational support to the Executive Director and other leadership groups as needed.

    Principle Duties

    • Draft, personalize, and send donor thank-you letters, tax acknowledgements, and holiday cards.
    • Maintain accurate donor records and track interactions to ensure timely follow-up.
    • Collaborate with the Development or Communications team to support stewardship campaigns and initiatives.
    • Assist with donor recognition events or programs to celebrate and acknowledge supporter contributions.
    • Monitor and report on donor engagement metrics to support continuous improvement in stewardship practices.

    Qualifications

The following are considered key job qualifications:

    • Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
    • 1+ years of experience in donor relations, nonprofit communications, or administrative support, or equivalent experience.
    • Proficiency with CRM or donor management systems preferred.
    • Strong attention to detail, written and verbal communication, and time management skills.
    • Knowledge of nonprofit operations and donor stewardship practices.

    Benefits

    • Opportunity to contribute to a meaningful mission and make a difference in the community.
    • Flexible scheduling and remote work environment.
    • Access to training and skill development opportunities.
    • Supportive, collaborative, and inclusive team culture.
    • Experience building professional skills in donor relations, communications, and administration.

If you’re someone who values relationships, has a keen eye for detail, and loves helping others feel appreciated, we’d love to hear from you! Please submit your resume and a brief cover letter explaining why you’re a great fit for the Donor Stewardship Coordinator role at MSU.
