Empowerment Pathways is looking for enthusiastic and caring volunteers to help make our Pathways to Discovery summer program a fun and enriching experience for children in grades 1–4!
This four-week program combines arts, sports, nature, and literature to inspire creativity, curiosity, and confidence in young learners. Volunteers will work alongside staff to assist with activities, provide supervision, and help create a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for all participants.

Help spark creativity and imagination! Empowerment Pathways is seeking volunteers to assist with Arts Week in our Pathways to Discovery summer program. Volunteers will support children as they explore painting, music, dance, and other creative activities, helping them build confidence and express themselves. If you love art, music, or working with kids, this is your chance to inspire young artists and make a meaningful impact!
Who: Adults and teens (16+)
When: Week 1 (7/6/25-7/9/25)
Get ready to move and play! We’re looking for volunteers to assist with Sports Week, helping children stay active while learning teamwork, coordination, and healthy habits. Volunteers will supervise games, lead fun activities, and encourage kids to try new sports. If you enjoy physical activity and want to make fitness fun for children, this is the week for you!
Who: Adults and teens (16+)
When: Week 2 (7/13/25-7/16/25)
Love the outdoors? Join us for Nature Week and help children explore science, gardening, and the wonders of the natural world! Volunteers will guide hands-on activities, supervise outdoor exploration, and encourage curiosity about the environment. This is a great opportunity for anyone passionate about nature, science, or environmental education to inspire young learners.

When: Week 3 (7/20-7/23/25)
Calling all book lovers! Help children dive into Literature Week through storytelling, reading activities, and creative writing projects. Volunteers will assist with reading circles, help kids explore their imagination, and foster a love of books and writing. If you enjoy reading, writing, or encouraging young minds, this is your chance to make a lasting impact!

You will be required to have the following background checks done in order to volunteer for this position:
State Criminal
FBI
Child Abuse
You will also need to complete a 2 hour online Mandated reporter training on recognizing and reporting child abuse.
