Role Description:

As a Hospice Volunteer, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of our patients and their families. Your compassionate presence and willingness to serve will make a significant impact. Here are some key responsibilities:

1. Companionship and Emotional Support:
   • Spend quality time with patients, engage in conversations, and provide emotional support.
   • Listen actively and offer companionship to alleviate feelings of loneliness and anxiety.
2. Assistance with Daily Tasks:
   • Help patients with light household chores, meal preparation, and running errands.
   • Provide respite care for family caregivers.
3. Support for Administrative Tasks:
   • Assist our hospice team with administrative duties, including filing, data entry, and organizing paperwork.
4. Special Projects and Events:
   • Participate in special events, fundraisers, and community outreach programs.
   • Contribute your unique skills and talents to enhance our services.

Qualifications:

• Compassionate and empathetic nature.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect patient privacy.
• Willingness to complete any necessary training provided by our organization.
• Comfort with concepts surrounding death, loss, grief, and bereavement.

Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years old.
